I have been teaching the violin and the viola to students of all ages and levels in the United States and France for over 25 years. I hold a DMA (Doctorate of Musical Arts) in violin performance from the University of Kentucky, where I was a teaching assistant for 3 years. I also served on the faculty of several colleges and music schools in Kentucky and Boston before moving to France where I have been teaching privately for almost 10 years. I have recently become interested in deepening my understanding of the Suzuki pedagogical approach, and have recently finished my teacher training and been certified as a Suzuki level 1 teacher by the European Suzuki Association. I find it most interesting to draw on what I consider the best aspects of the Suzuki as well as traditional violin teaching approaches.
I teach privately at my home in Paris and sometimes travel to students in central Paris for group and private lessons. I accept students of all ages and levels. Please send me a private message for more information.
